Volunteers
Cornelian Bay Cemetery is fortunate to have a group of volunteers which assists the Cemetery in preserving its historic fabric, and to maintain the grounds and monuments. Projects include cemetery tours, investigating a museum, the history of the Cemetery and gardening.
Membership is open to all ages and enquiries are welcome by contacting the Cemetery Office as indicated on the Contact Us page.
The Friends of the Cemetery have compiled a very informative tour guide to Cornelian Bay Cemetery outlining areas of interest and the graves of famous and infamous Tasmanians.
Work by the Greencorps and others has assisted enormously in the improvement of the natural environment at Cornelian Bay, Kingston and Eastern Shore Cemeteries. |
